   Debate Steering Committee will guide U-M’s hosting efforts

   Planning for the presidential debate that will be staged at U-M in October is well underway, with the Debate Steering Committee providing overall guidance for a long list of tasks and events being considered.

   In conjunction with next fall’s presidential debate, U-M will welcome representatives from across the globe for a symposium on political candidate debates and other key democratic principles and practices.

   Former secretaries of state part of new Ford School speaker series

   Former Secretaries of State Hillary Rodham Clinton and Condoleezza Rice, will be part of a new lecture series this fall at the Weiser Diplomacy Center in the Gerald R. Ford School of Public Policy.

   New Weiser Diplomacy Center to bring foreign policy experts to U-M

   A $10 million gift from U-M alumni Ron and Eileen Weiser will establish a new diplomacy center to serve as a hub for engagement with the foreign policy community.
